 For an important customer of ours, a leading company in the IoT field, we are looking for:

Network & System Engineer for DevSecOps  (IoT – Ticino)

We are looking for an experienced Network / System / DevOps engineer that will help our team to work closely with the technical lead to identify, develop and establish DevSecOps practices in the company.

The candidate will define, implement, monitor and support the deployment and the maintenance of company’s solutions both on customer’s premises and on the company’s private cloud.

He/She will work in tight collaboration with the Software Development team, the Field Application Engineering team, the Software Quality Assurance team and the ICT team, so to ensure all relevant aspects of deliverability, maintainability and security at all levels, from system and product requirements, to deployment to maintenance.

Your Tasks

• Manage code releases and deployments on cloud and on-premise infrastructures, crossing, smoothing and blending software development, testing, field operations and customer support;
• Develop procedures to automate the deployment, testing, integration, of software releases and upgrades;
• Identify necessary changes to maintain optimal system performances of solutions developed by the company both on customer’s premise and on the company’s private could service;
• Perform security assessment on solutions and systems and liaise with software development team and with ICT team to implement and improve appropriate cyber security techniques, methods and policies;
• Design server-based architecture to support customers’ requirements of scalability and availability of deployable company solutions;
• Generate and maintain appropriate documentation, change management and incident management policies.
• Determine cybersecurity requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements;
• Help to identify customer requirements/concerns as of cybersecurity threats and needs and work with the R&D and product team to support the design of products/solutions;

Your Skills

• University degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent discipline;
• Proven experience in System Engineering and Network engineering;
• Proven experience in configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of server infrastructures, microservice based applications, database systems, HA architectures;
• Excellent competencies in Linux server administration and scripting languages;
• Excellent competencies in IP internetworking (network design, router, firewall, switches configuration).

• Excellent knowledge of automating, scaling managing deployment of containerized applications (Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Ansible);
• Knowledge of development tools and CI/CD pipelines;
• Knowledge of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and attacks (Hardware, Firmware, Software, Network, and People), and ability to understand new ones based on new technology being developed;
• Effective communication in English (both written & verbal - including technical documentation).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of virtualization software and services such as VMWare ESXi (vSphere);
• Experience in Exploit Development, Social Engineering, Red/Blue Teaming;
• Experience in identifying security issues in code.

• Flexibility, ability to prioritize activities and to efficiently manage time, meeting challenging deadlines;

• Excellent problem-solving attitude and proven track record in solving network and system issues;

• Ability to work cross-functionally in dynamic and international environments and to work effectively and independently with all levels of the organization.
• Professional experiences in software/hardware/system development or network/system engineering are a plus.
